Partnering in Prayer

There is an untapped power that resides in the ministry of corporate prayer simply because of the power of agreement. In Matthew 18:18-20 (NKJV) Jesus says, “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” The Lord Jesus Christ would not have told this to His disciples if it were not so.

I am convinced that the reason why the church of today does not see miracles, signs, and wonders as much as it could, is because of the church’s reluctance to, or negligence in engaging the body of Christ in corporate prayer. There are two words that jump out in this Matthew 18 passage; “whatever” and “anything“. These two words swings open the door to limitless possibilities. These two words tells the members of the body of Christ that all things are possible if we are willing and diligent in coming together as believers in prayer and faith. Jesus goes on to say, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”

The authority to bind and to loose is activated when the people of God come together in the spirit of unity and agreement in petitioning God to get involved in their situations. Lastly, the authority in coming together in the spirit of agreement is solidified through the name of Jesus. If you desire to see miracles manifested through the power of prayer connect with someone who is faith-filled who will agree with you for the desires of your heart, and petition heaven in the name of Jesus. Remember, there is absolutely nothing too big or too hard for God.
